Audit Log
The Audit Log in Real Estate Manager consolidates change tracking, enriches export options, and provides AI-powered analysis capabilities across the platform.
This guide covers the following capabilities:
A dedicated Audit Log page accessible from the Reports section.
Advanced filters for category, asset and contract attributes, and date ranges.
Export options to download the Audit Log as CSV or Excel.
AI Insights to analyze activity patterns across assets, contracts, and contacts.
-
AI Insights integrated into the Contract Audit Log for contract-level, conversational analysis.
Note: Refer to Managing Asset Contracts in the Asset Management Workspace section for detailed information.
Dedicated Audit Log Page
Accessing the Audit Log
The dedicated Audit Log page centralizes all change tracking in one location. It provides a single place to monitor activity across assets, contracts, contacts and system configuration, eliminating the need to search across multiple pages.
To access the Audit Log:
1. Navigate to the Reports section from the main navigation.
2. Select Audit Log from the Reports menu. The Audit Log page loads and displays all tracked changes across the system.
What the Audit Log Displays
Each entry in the Audit Log provides a full picture of every change recorded in the system. The following information is visible for every record:
| Column | Description |
| Username | The user who made the change. |
| Section | The area of the system affected (e.g., Assets, Contracts, Contacts, System Configuration). |
| Action Type | The type of change made (e.g., Created, Updated, Deleted). |
| Asset/ Contract | The associated asset or contract record, where applicable. |
| Previous Value | The value before the change was made. |
| Updated Value | The new value after the change was applied. |
Note: Expand any row to view all changes that occurred within the same action, giving a complete picture of what was modified in a single operation and when.
Filtering the Audit Log
The Audit Log includes advanced filters to narrow results and focus on specific investigations. The following filter types are available:
| Column | Description |
| Category | Filters by the area of the system (Assets, Contracts, Contacts, or System Configuration). |
| Asset and Contract Attributes | Filters by specific properties associated with assets or contracts. |
| Date Range | Restricts results to a specific time period. |
Applying a combination of filters is particularly useful when investigating recent changes to a specific business unit, asset group, or contract.
Note: All applied filters also affect the data set used by AI Insights analysis. Applying filters before opening the AI Insights panel produces the most relevant analysis.
Exporting the Audit Log
Export Options
Users can Download the Audit Log as a CSV or Excel file using the export options on the Audit Log page. Exports respect all filters applied to the page. The downloaded file includes only the columns and rows visible on screen.
Export Limits
A configuration limit applies to exports by default. If an export is too large, applying a shorter date range or narrower filters reduces the data set before downloading.
AI Insights — Activity Analysis
AI Insights is an analysis panel that identifies activity patterns across assets, contracts, and contacts without requiring users to manually review individual records. The analysis is based entirely on the filtered data set displayed on the Audit Log page, so the results are always scoped to the records visible to the user.
Using the AI Insights Panel
To analyze activity patterns using AI Insights:
Apply relevant filters on the Audit Log page to scope the investigation.
Open the AI Insights panel from the Audit Log page.
Review the highlighted trends, which may include frequently changed fields, active users, and notable activity patterns.
Note: Insights are generated from the filtered data set and reflect only the records currently visible on the page. Contact changes are included and can be analyzed through the same panel.
What AI Insights Highlights
The AI Insights panel surfaces patterns such as:
Fields that are changed most frequently.
Users with the highest volume of activity.
Notable patterns or anomalies in the change history.
Activity summaries across assets, contracts, and contacts.
